Jorgen van Laer

During his internship, he was a laureate in several moot courts both at home and abroad. Jorgen Van Laer started his Law studies at the UFSIA in Antwerp and concluded his academic career at the University of Ghent. He has been a lawyer since 2005.

Fiscal Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law

He completed the postgraduate course in Fiscal Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law in 2010 (UA/VUB). His area of expertise spans mainly criminal and traffic law. He is known from top trials such as the AQUINO case and various terrorism trials. He is also mainly active in Economic Criminal Law. He defends companies and their employees who are being prosecuted.

Quality and speed

Absolutely safeguarding the rights of defense is a very important focus for him. Furthermore, he is also a member of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA) which has given him a strong network abroad.
