Our DNA
Roger Bannister
Sports history has been written for much longer than since the days of Usain Bolt or Jackie Joyner-Kersee. In the 1940s and 1950s, for example, when the stars of athletics were not the 100-meter runners or decathletes, but the stars of the English mile (1609 meters).
The world record for that mile was under constant attack and improvement throughout the 1940s. Until it fell to a Swede in 1945, who stopped the chrono at 4'01".
For nearly a decade, the best athletes in the world bit their teeth on the magic 4-minute limit. Doctors and scientists claimed the human limit had been reached. Running a mile under four minutes was impossible. Impossible.

Until Sir Roger Bannister clocked 3:59:4 in 1954 after months of intense training and preparation, reminding science and the world of the universal maxim that nothing should be assumed simply on authority. That nothing is decided beforehand, either in sport or in law.
As lawyers, we are particularly inspired by the story of Sir Roger Bannister. His historic achievement shows that a combination of focus, discipline, a flawless scientific approach, self-confidence and a rock-hard work schedule can lead to unparalleled success!
Bannister Lawyers is vested on the principles of this exceptional achievement.
